Your role

Pratt & Whitney expectations:

  • Support Business Units with identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support of growth readiness and standard work for NPI Leads and NPI Buyers.
  • Supporting key sourcing activities and reporting.
  • Major NPI Sourcing Selection & RFQ Application Supply On Project (from Design to Production Readiness with reporting and require new future additional modules).
  • Tracking of all progression of engine parts within several different commodities in the supply chain from the development phase to transferring to production.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • New NPI application to centralize several functions for the Request for Quote Process; maintaining & increasing efficiency with several important elements of cost, operational, engineering, and supply management.
  • Support the team with continuous improvement projects.
  • Consolidate, tabulate, analyse, and report on various topics, commitments, and performance metrics.
  • Create presentations and reports using Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Prepare and lead meetings on new part tracking and follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Daily tasks supporting NPI Managers, Team Leads, and NPI Buyers.
  • Working with different business areas linked to NPI: other commodities, training, strategic sourcing, technical project coordinators, International Trade Compliance, operational program management team & project engineers.
  • Hybrid- 3 days per week at the office  

About you

Requirements for this internship:

Must haves:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in please specify fields in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations and Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written).
  • A good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, is required for the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the [candidate] will interact.

IT skills:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel (Advanced, Asset, Vlookup)
  • MS Powerpoint (Intermediate, Asset)
  • SharePoint (Asset)
  • POWER BI (Asset)
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems preferable SAP (Beginner, Asset)

  • Organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities.
