The MTE organization is looking for a dynamic, creative, and organized individual who is willing to contribute to achieving the business objectives of the company for quality improvement, safety, and engine performance. The mandate aims to coordinate various projects in the fields of quality improvement, productivity, problem-solving, and process certification.

The selected student will be working in the Special Process Development Group. Their department oversees supporting, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes such as Welding and Coating technology, Powder metallurgy processes, Heat treatment, and LASER machining. If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role, they invite you to apply.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • The student will be responsible for leading different technical projects. The student will:
  • Work on a large-scale project with new technologies (Industry 4.0) integrating aspects of manufacturing in aeronautics.
  • Have machine hands-on training and tasks involving programming and operating special processes machines such as welding, peening, plasma spray, and laser drilling.
  • Develop design skills using CATIA Software
  • Hand-on work in laboratory or experimental line environment
  • Perform metallographic analyses and other mechanical testing on samples produced in the laboratory and/or the production line. The student will have the chance to access their material characterization laboratory.
  • Support production departments to resolve manufacturing issues. The student will have the opportunity to meet people from other departments and discover different aspects of P&WC: Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Write technical reports on the results of the experiments performed during the research process.

What you need to be successful:

Must haves;

  • Be eligible to work in Canada Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written).
