Your role

Internship expectations and daily responsibilities:

The Tax Department intern is responsible for supporting certain financial functions of the business. The intern assumes responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project. The intern contributes to his team or department by applying his knowledge of several functional areas. If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role, they invite you to apply.

The position begins on September 3rd and ends on December 20th.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Update Transfer Pricing documentation & variance reports for month-end actuals & MML.
  • Provide support relating to corporate tax returns, Value Added & Fuel Tax claims, withholding & municipal taxes.
  • Maintain month-end checklist & journal entry log & assist in budget validation. 
  • Participate in process improvement & SOX testing.

Training & development

During the internship, gain hands-on experience in updating Transfer Pricing documentation, supporting corporate tax returns, and participating in process improvement and SOX testing. Develop skills in maintaining month-end checklists, journal entry logs, and budget validation.

What you need to be successful:

Must haves:

  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired
  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting/Finance/Tax
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written).
  • English is an asset.
