Our expectations:

The Tax Specialist is responsible for supporting certain financial functions for the benefit of the company. He assumes responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project. He contributes to his team or department by using his knowledge in several functional areas.

What your daily work will look like:

  • Update transfer pricing documentation and variance reports for month-end and MML. 
  • Participate in tax preparation and SOX process improvement and testing.
  • Analyze/reconcile claimed value added taxes, fuel tax, withholding taxes and municipal taxes.
  • Maintain month-end checklist and journal entry file.
  • Provide assistance with budget validation;

What you need to succeed:

The essentials :

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university for the entire duration of your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Pursue studies in accounting/finance/taxation.
  • Excellent communication skills in French (spoken/written). English is an asset.

Work environment

What is my role type:

In person 5 days/week  

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, however it requires a functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may come from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international clients, suppliers or colleagues.
