Our expectations:

The Treasury team is looking for a dynamic, creative, and organized individual who wants to contribute to achieving business objectives through innovative and high-quality communications. Working directly with our customer and supplier base and other P&WC departments.

What your daily work will look like:

Acceptable:

  • Annual credit reviews
  • Data preparation and consolidation
  • Assess and review financial risks, by reviewing financial statements, credit portals, D&B (Dun and Bradstreet), customer payment profiles and coverage limits with EDC and other banking institutions
  • Maintenance of customers' SAP master data
  • Customer Group Review
  • Review of payment terms
  • Credit Limits Review
  • Harmonization of banking instructions for P&WC contracts/invoices
  • Elimination of manual checks
  • Resolving disputed invoices and other invoice challenges by engaging the business and customers.

Payables :

  • Maintenance and internal verification of the supplier database 
  • Working with a dynamic team internally, as well as in partnership with our external payables service provider
  • Participate in end-of-month activities
  •  Participate in semi-annual review of internal control tests (SOX).
  • Collaborate with other business units to achieve the goal of addressing all invoices over 90 days old
  • Participate in disbursement activities Ex: payment to supplier
  • Support team members' ad hoc requests and analyses

What you need to succeed:

The essentials :

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university for the entire duration of your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired, if applicable.
  • Continue studies in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or International Trade.
  • Bilingual (spoken and written French / spoken and written English). A good knowledge of the English language, written and oral, is required for this position given the operational needs of the Employer and the people with whom the [candidate] will be called upon to interact.

Advantages:

  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset

Work environment

What is my role type:

In-person 5 days/week  

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, however, it requires a functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international clients, suppliers or colleagues.
