Your role

As a Data Governance Intern, your key responsibilities may include:

Support the Data Portal access management:

• Liaise with requesters on the requests received.
• Verification of approvals.
• Update access application manual and user access matrix on time.
• Work with the Data Product team to guide the requestor in submitting the requests in the Data Portal.

Assist in Data Warehouse (DWH) tool enhancements:

• Consolidate DWH tool requests within the team and from other stakeholders.
• Draft Business Requirement Documentation (BRDs) for DWH tool requests.
• Communicate the business enhancement requests with the Product Managers and Software Engineers for alignment, and provide feedback to business stakeholders after feasibility study and prioritization by PMs and DEVs.
• Review and refine UAT test cases for feature enhancements.
• Execute UAT test cases and follow up with PMs and QAs for any defects noted.

Support Data Quality management and testing:

• Close interaction with business teams to understand the business requirements and assist in translating into technical data quality rules or SQL scripts in the system.
• Conduct testing on the feasibility of technical data quality rules and SQL scripts and communicate relevant feedback to business teams.
• Update data quality rule inventory with the latest rule and status.

About you

To apply for this internship, you should meet the following requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline, preferably technology or business-related subjects is recommended such as Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
• Basic SQL knowledge will be a strong plus.
• Knowledge of the Financial industry through university courses or prior internships will be an added advantage.
• Strong interest in Data Governance practices and policies.
• Self-driven, curious, a fast learner, and a strong practitioner of self-development.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset that can break down high-level requirements into actionable solutions.
