Your Role

This intern will support the Internal Audit (IA) team in executing data analytics, data sciences, and automation initiatives to enhance the way audits are conducted. They will be responsible for applying these various data analysis techniques with the help of innovative technology as part of broader audit transformation efforts. 

• Perform data extraction and transformation from various sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data).
• Design data models and execute data analytics procedures to identify trends, anomalies, and insights to support audit processes.
• Explore the application of natural language processing, unstructured data analytics, and other machine learning techniques to enhance audit procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to develop reporting and operational dashboards.
• Help identify opportunities to innovate and transform how audits are performed through automation and data-driven solutions.

The estimated salary for this role ranges from SGD 12,000 to SGD 15,000 per year.

About You

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and analysis using tools such as SQL, and Python.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate and present work effectively.
• Highly professional and discreet, able to maintain confidentiality on projects, especially when dealing with sensitive information.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and algorithms, unstructured data analysis, and text mining.
• Experience with statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Strong interest in exploring the application of generative AI and the use of large language models (LLMs) within the audit domain.
• Understanding of audit, risk, and fraud domains.
• Ability to work effectively with team members in a collaborative environment, actively contribute ideas and be pleasant to work with.
• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• Capable of working autonomously, taking initiative, and managing time efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership, demonstrates accountability and strives for high-quality outcomes.
