About the role:

Do you have a passion for finance and accounts? We currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Revenue & Expenditure team. The primary focus of this position is to provide timely and accurate processing of all aspects in relation to accounts payable services within organisational guidelines.

Duties include:

  • Process invoices, credit notes payments and reconcile supplier statements;
  • Provide financial information;
  • Reconcile and prepare month end reports and scan and file documentation for year-end archiving;
  • Review daily/monthly reconciliations to sub systems and General Ledger;
  • Investigate and resolve issues;
  • Maintain creditor master file, monthly processing of invoices/payments and reconcile supplier statements;
  • Maintain petty cash float, cash handling and transfer of electronic funds;
  • Undertake system testing for new software releases and assist in training of new team members;
  • Implement council/service procedures.

About you:

To be considered for this role you will need:

  1. Diploma in Accounting or similar qualifications;
  2. Accounts payable experience;
  3. Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and processes;
  4. Strong data entry and knowledge of corporate computer systems;
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, eye for details and accuracy;
  6. Current Class C Driver Licence.
