The global Monetization Integrity team ensures safe and quality experiences between users, creators, and businesses. The team is responsible for creating scalable and reliable solutions that allow TikTok users and businesses to interact in a trustworthy manner, always working to anticipate and protect against threats.

As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job learning in a fast-paced work environment and develop a deeper understanding of your career interests.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below 

Sydney - Off cycle / Credit bearing - Starting 19 August 2024

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit in either internship period. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

  1. Research and provide input to Australia Advertising policies as well as help identify gaps in policies and propose revisions
  2. Partner with cross-functional teams including Advertiser Experience, QA, Training and Ad review teams to ensure accurate and effective policy enforcement
  3. Collaborate closely with partners in these teams to implement effective and scalable cross-team workflows
  4. Handle incoming queries about adveritisng policy areas with clear and helpful responses, and participate in weekly calibration sessions to ensure consistent alignment of policy and process
  5. Work directly with Ad Policy Managers and specialists to review RCAs on problematic trends, document and report findings, and make suggestions for policy iterations
  6. Support Ad Policy Managers, Specialists and Training teams in reviewing policies, creating SOPs and/or training material for policy updates
  7. Ownership of operational labeling protocols and online policy maintenance and publishing tasks

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/master in any field.
  • Preference - Political science, International relations, Public Policy, Public Administration, Advertising, Communications and Media, Marketing/Marketing Management, Public Relations and Applied Communication; or a closely related field. (NOT mandatory)
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  2. Understanding of the impact ad policy decisions have on advertisers and users;
  3. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and rapid growth environment;
  4. Passionate about Internet entertainment/media space or mobile web video/content.
