About UBS

Expert advice. Wealth management. Investment banking. Asset management. Retail banking in Switzerland. And all the support functions. That's what they do. And they do it for private and institutional clients as well as corporations around the world.

Your role

Their FX, Rates, and Credit (FRC) business delivers a broad range of products and solutions to corporates, governments, banks, asset managers, and hedge funds in all major markets. They provide issuers and investors with industry-leading advice, risk management, and global distribution coupled with in-depth research and analytics. As a member of the Sales team, you will be responsible for introducing, developing, and maintaining client relationships, enhancing and delivering UBS's full suite of global products, and understanding and analyzing markets in order to generate ideas and deliver advice that supports the needs of their clients. FRC products that you will have exposure to will include interest rate and cross-currency swaps, OIS, FRAs, credit and government bonds, structured investments, as well as foreign exchange (spot, forwards, options, swaps).

UBS's FRC business is truly global. You will work closely with colleagues in Asia, Europe, and the US, and outside of FRC collaborate with their Equities and Investment Banking businesses to help deliver cross-business solutions to their diverse client base. The role will also involve a considerable focus on the ever-changing regulatory environment and increasing awareness of its impact on markets and their clients.

On any one day you can expect to:

  • Help their clients buy and sell on the phone and using their online systems
  • Promote products and trading opportunities to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles
  • Be the link between clients and traders, giving clients useful information about what’s happening in the markets and executing their trades at the best prices
  • Initially, your responsibilities will also include: producing and updating market and client-related reports, preparing presentations and trade allocations, and recaps
