About UBS Global

UBS is the world’s largest and only truly global wealth manager. UBS operates through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and Investment Bank. Their global reach and the breadth of their expertise set them apart from their competitors.

Your role

UBS's FX, Rates, and Credit (FRC) business delivers a broad range of products and solutions to corporates, governments, banks, asset managers, and hedge funds in all major markets. As a member of the Sales team, you will be responsible for introducing, developing, and maintaining client relationships, enhancing and delivering UBS's full suite of global products, and understanding and analyzing markets in order to generate ideas and deliver advice that supports the needs of the clients.

Your responsibilities:

  • Help clients buy and sell on the phone and using their online systems
  • Promote products and trading opportunities to clients based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and investment styles
  • Be the link between clients and traders, giving clients useful information about what’s happening in the markets and executing their trades at the best prices
  • Initially, your responsibilities will also include: producing and updating market and client-related reports, preparing presentations and trade allocations and recaps

Training & development

Aside from the experience you’ll gain in your role, UBS believes that additional opportunities to grow should be open to everyone. This can be through job shadowing, a carefully designed curriculum, or UBS University. UBS University is helping its employees build skills to use now, along with new capabilities for the future.

UBS wants its employees to be able to build interesting careers there. One way they do that is through their innovative Career Navigator platform – a suite of self-service tools and resources that includes networking and mentoring opportunities, career path and training guidance, access to short-term rotations, and mobility tools like an online job board accessed by almost 36,000 employees in 2022.

Work-life balance

At UBS, they take a well-balanced approach to meet the needs of their employees and businesses and further evolve into a more agile organization through flexible working. Among some of the flexible working opportunities they offer, is job sharing, which allows employees to work part-time for a role that requires full-time coverage by sharing the role with another employee. Flexible working in the office and from home is also already available in many of their work locations.
