Join the United Nations Board of Auditors for a 2-3 month internship in New York, focusing on audit-related tasks.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities as follows:

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks related to audits of the United Nations, its Funds, and Programmes.
  • Attend and summarize conferences and meetings.
  • Assist in organizing the annual sessions of the Board of Auditors.
  • Perform research tasks and draft documents as needed.
  • Compile statistics and prepare tables as needed.

About You:

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
  • Candidates pursuing studies in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Auditing, and Statistics are preferred.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent is beneficial.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required; knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits:

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
