Your Role:
Key responsibilities as follows:
- Monitor and summarize UN General Assembly and ECOSOC meetings.
- Contribute to activities with UN system entities like ECOSOC Secretariat.
- Assist in preparing UNCTAD briefings and meetings.
- Support UNCTAD staff on missions to New York.
- Update NYO databases and conduct internet-based research.
- Maintain NYO’s electronic communications.
- Prepare inputs for intergovernmental processes.
- Contribute to social media outreach strategy.
- Undertake additional tasks as necessary.
About You:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant university program.
- Computer literate in standard software applications.
- Demonstrated interest in the United Nations' work.
- Ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable.
