Your Role:

Key responsibilities as follows:

  • Monitor and summarize UN General Assembly and ECOSOC meetings.
  • Contribute to activities with UN system entities like ECOSOC Secretariat.
  • Assist in preparing UNCTAD briefings and meetings.
  • Support UNCTAD staff on missions to New York.
  • Update NYO databases and conduct internet-based research.
  • Maintain NYO’s electronic communications.
  • Prepare inputs for intergovernmental processes.
  • Contribute to social media outreach strategy.
  • Undertake additional tasks as necessary.

About You:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant university program.
  • Computer literate in standard software applications.
  • Demonstrated interest in the United Nations' work.
  • Ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable.
