Your Role:
- The intern will work with the Intergovernmental Policy and Review Branch (IPRB) in the Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development (OISC) within the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA).
- Responsibilities include assisting in analytical preparations and providing substantive support to the General Assembly’s Second Committee, ECOSOC, and the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).
- The intern will support intergovernmental negotiations, conduct analytical research, and assist in preparing documentation and visual materials for meetings.
- Additional tasks involve supporting the HLPF voluntary national reviews and updating the DESA and HLPF official website.
About You:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate program, in the final year of a first university degree, or recently graduated and entering the workforce.
- Proficiency in standard software applications and knowledge of sustainable development issues are advantageous.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required, with additional UN languages being an asset.
