Your Role:
Key responsibilities as follows:
- Monitor and analyze humanitarian developments in disaster-affected countries.
- Support anticipatory action frameworks through research and coordination.
- Review and draft funding applications with program officers.
- Prepare guidance, conduct training, and coordinate with Resident and Humanitarian Coordinators.
- Manage data on localization, gender, and funding trends.
- Maintain information resources and assist in partnerships with Member States and UN agencies.
- Organize high-level events and analyze complex data sets.
- Document financial workflows and propose process improvements.
- Automate financial reporting and build dashboards for transparency.
About You:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
- Keen interest in humanitarian issues and the UN's mission.
- Ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledge of statistics, Python, and data visualization tools is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to analyze information.
- Final-year student or recent graduate of a university degree program.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or other UN languages is advantageous.
Compensation & Benefits:
Internships are unpaid, but the UN provides assistance with G-4 visa arrangements for those serving in the USA.
