Internship at UN OCHA, focusing on humanitarian coordination, data management, and funding application support.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and analyze humanitarian developments.
  • Support anticipatory action frameworks.
  • Review and draft funding applications.
  • Prepare guidance and conduct trainings.
  • Document preparation for senior staff.
  • Data collection and management.
  • Maintain information resources.
  • Coordinate lessons learned and good practices.
  • Support partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in organizing high-level events.
  • Conduct research and draft advocacy materials.
  • Analyze complex data sets.
  • Document financial workflows and SOPs.
  • Propose and implement financial process improvements.
  • Automate and build financial dashboards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

About You:

Candidates must have:

  • Good knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Keen interest in humanitarian issues and UN work.
  • Ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of statistics, Python, and data visualization tools is desirable.
  • Experience with LLMs like ChatDialoClaude 3.56 GPT is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and integrate diverse information.
  • Be a student or recent graduate of a university degree program.
  • Fluency in English; French is desirable.

Compensation & Benefits:
