Join the UN as an intern to support strategic planning and decision-making in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General.

Your Role:

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Unit (SPMU) in strategic analysis and resource alignment.
  • Assist in strategic coordination, decision-making, and management support across four key workstreams.
  • Contribute to UN 2.0 capabilities, risk management, and crisis response initiatives.
  • Engage in analytics, event organization, and development of digital solutions.

About You:

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

  • Enrollment in or completion of a graduate or final year undergraduate program in relevant fields.
  • High computer literacy and interest in the UN's mission.
  • Ability to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
  • Desired skills vary by workstream, including organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Training & Development:

Interns gain exposure to the UN System, working on impactful projects and learning from experienced professionals.
