Recruitment Process

Anthony Harper welcomes applications from well-rounded students and recent graduates with a specific interest in commercial law. While we appreciate academic excellence, we also value life experience and a desire for continual learning and growth. As an employee at Anthony Harper, you can be assured that we take concentrated steps to ensure you feel welcomed and accepted, regardless of your background, and that your wellbeing is at the forefront of your work life.

Step 1: Application

Submit your CV, and academic transcript and answer a series of long-form questions. 

Step 2: Psychometric Testing

If your application is shortlisted, you will receive an invitation to complete psychometric testing. This process should take between 15 to 30 minutes and is designed to provide us with a better understanding of your key strengths and areas for development. 

Step 3: Meet and Greet

If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend a coffee catch up with two of our junior solicitors. It is an informal setting intended for you to get a better understanding of what it might be like to work at Anthony Harper. 

Step 5: Interview

Shortly after you have met with the junior solicitors, you will have a formal panel interview at either our Tāmaki Makaurau or Ōtautahi offices. The panel will consist of one Partner, one Senior Author and a member of the People and Culture team. 

Step 6: Outcome

A member of the People and Culture team will call to advise whether or not you have been offered a role at Anthony Harper, followed by the next steps and information on the documents which will be emailed to you.

Our base salaries are reviewed annually and updated to ensure that they are in line with the market.
