The ASA Nuclear Graduate Program offers two distinct pathways: the Policy & Corporate Pathway and the STEM (Technical) Pathway.
The Policy & Corporate Pathway is a twelve-month graduate program and the STEM Technical Pathway is an 18-month graduate program both enable you to experience the breadth of submarine operations, including opportunities for a rotation with one of Australia's premier nuclear agencies or key industry partners. This is your chance to see the bigger picture, understand different facets of the nuclear ecosystem, and decide where you can make your mark.

Graduates in both pathways will commence the program on an APS 4 classification $79,176 (plus 15.4% super).
On successful completion of the program, graduates will find themselves on a fast track to advancement, setting the stage for an enduring and distinguished career.
Remuneration and Relocation Assistance

Graduate opportunities are available across Perth (Rockingham), Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide. When applying to the graduate program, applicants should note with the nature of this program it is highly likely they will be required to relocate permanently and / or temporarily for one or more rotations.
The ASA provides relocation assistance to eligible APS employees required to relocate. The level of assistance will vary depending on the reason for relocating and your personal circumstances.

The Australian Submarine Agency uses a range of assessment processes to assist in selecting suitable applicants. We uphold the APS Merit Principle and our processes are designed to select the best available person for the job.
Merit pool
This recruitment process is being used to fill immediate and anticipated vacancies. A merit pool of suitable candidates will be created. Those found suitable will be advised that they have been placed in the pool. This is not an offer of employment and not all candidates selected for inclusion in the merit pool may ultimately receive an offer of employment.
The merit pool is valid for 18 months from the date the vacancy was advertised in the Public Service Gazette. The merit pool may be used to fill similar positions in the event positions become vacant.
