BMD Graduate Programs & Internships

  • Construction & Property

BMD is Australia’s leading integrated engineering, construction and urban development business, with foundations built on the family values that underpin our unique, collaborative approach.

Driven by a purpose of powering futures and creating enduring legacies through a commitment to collaboration, BMD is delivering infrastructure solutions that connect and transform communities.

Our 18-month Graduate Program, Foundations, has been uniquely designed to bridge the gap between formal education and the workforce, establishing a clear path for the future and accelerated success. As a BMD team member, you will develop skills in problem solving, critical thinking, innovation and team building.

BMD is on a sharp growth trajectory with over $2 billion worth of work in hand, and as we continue to expand, our Graduate Program participants will support our business in delivering our global project pipeline.

Our Values:

Family

Our future is powered by the same family values we were founded on. We value each other, we work as a team, and we build everything from strong relationships and respect.

Driven

Hard work will triumph as we persist through obstacles and seek continuous improvement. We celebrate effort as much as achievement because it's the effort that propels performance.

Empowered

We empower our people to take initiative through a supportive environment. Everyone has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

Collaborative

Together, we solve challenges and build lasting, trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and partners to achieve shared success and long-term impact.

Recruitment Process

The BMD Graduate Program is the ideal opportunity to test the knowledge acquired during your study in real-world scenarios. As part of our recruitment process, you can expect the following:

  1. Application form: Complete the online application form and submit it with your CV, cover letter and academic transcript.

  2. Shortlisting: If you are shortlisted, our HR team will be in touch for an informal phone interview so you can tell us more about why you want to join BMD, which typically takes around 15 minutes.

  3. Formal interview: Following the phone interview, successful applicants will be invited into a local BMD office for an in-person interview. You can expect to meet a member of the HR team as well as the relevant hiring managers. Interview questions will cover information about yourself, as well as technical content related to the role.

  4. Employment offer: Final shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide reference checks, and if we believe you will be a fit for BMD, we will provide you with a written offer of employment for our 2026 program.
