Your role

Through the Hotel Internship Program opportunities, participants have the chance to build upon their classroom studies. They gain firsthand knowledge about hotel operations, experiencing the industry from its foundation where the founders and many leaders began. Immersion in Marriott's culture and business allows interns to discover their true calling in the travel industry. The program offers internships in various areas within the hotel, providing a comprehensive understanding of hotel management.

During the internship, participants have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the dynamic world of hotel management. This hands-on experience better prepares them for future career opportunities after graduation. Interns get to explore different aspects of hotel operations and learn about the intricacies involved in running a successful hotel.

In the HR Internship, participants are involved in several key areas.

• Recruitment - constructing job ads, screening candidates
• Employee engagement activities - organising events, celebrations
• Onboarding - assist with new starter onboarding
• Compliance - tracking of visas, passports and other certifications
• Policies and Processes - updating and maintaining
• Hotel Operations - learn all about the operations of a working hotels

 It is a UNPAID internship.

About you

Marriot International Australia is seeking an intern in the discipline of Human Resources.

To be eligible you must have eligible work rights for Australia, be currently studying in Australia and be able to provide a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) document from your study institution.
