Your role

As a Food and Beverage Operations Intern at Marriott International Hotels, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the food and beverage operations within their esteemed luxury division under Marriott International. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage outlets, including but not limited to restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, and room service.
  • Work alongside the culinary and service teams to ensure the quality and consistency of food and beverage offerings.
  • Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, address inquiries, and resolve any concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Support the planning and execution of events, including weddings, conferences, and other special occasions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge of hospitality industry trends.
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute ideas for enhancing the guest experience and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to Marriott Group's policies, procedures, and values, including those related to teamwork, integrity, and professionalism.

About you

Requirements

  • You must be a current college or university student
  • Must have working rights in Australia. Visas would need to be secured by your own before application - Securing a Working Holiday Visa would be highly recommended. 
  • Must be a part of a college program.
  • 6 Months Internship from July/August.
  • Strong passion for the food and beverage industry and a desire to pursue a career in hospitality.
  • An up-to-date RSA  
  • Relevant experience in a similar role  
  • Enthusiastic to escalate your career  
  • Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment  
  • Armed with smart solutions and a can-do attitude
