Recruitment Process

What is the CyberCX Academy looking for?

The CyberCX Academy is seeking motivated, aspiring cyber professionals who have the right attitude, aptitude and willingness to learn. These attributes need to be demonstrated in the application submission and throughout the recruitment process. 

You don’t need to be a cyber expert, we’re on the lookout for people who want to learn and grow in a constantly evolving industry that’s combating criminal activity. We're more interested in who you are and where you want to take your career. If you’re new to this world, we’ll teach you everything you need to know on the go.

The CyberCX Academy Recruitment Process

  • Step 1: online application submission 
  • Step 2: online psychometric and behavioural assessment as well as an online written activity to assess writing skills.
  • Step 3: in person panel interview at CyberCX offices across the country. Applicants will be able to request a virtual interview if you are not able to make it in person.
  • Step 4: Those successful will be notified via phone call and will receive a verbal employment offer where the recruiter will then discuss the salary offered.
  • Step 5: If the applicant accepts their verbal offer, you will move to references and background checks
  • Step 6: Once references and background checks are reviewed and CyberCX is satisfied, you will receive a full-time, ongoing employment contract for your review and signature. 
  • Step 7: Successful applicants will be invited to a pre-onboarding welcome call with the CyberCX Academy team who will go through what you can expect in your first three days (orientation) with CyberCX.

Feedback on your application

  • The CyberCX Academy team will notify you if you are unsuccessful at any stage of the recruitment process via email.
  • The CyberCX Academy will also notify you if you are successful in progressing to the next phase of the recruitment process via email.
  • The CyberCX Academy team, will not be able to provide feedback to any unsuccessful applicants requesting feedback unless you have interviewed for a position in the CyberCX Academy and request feedback. Verbal feedback will be passed onto you if you have requested feedback after the interview stage.

CyberCX Academy Salary

CyberCX Academy Associates are paid a competitive salary. The salary you are paid by CyberCX is determined by Fair Work award rates, professional working experience and your level of education.

Promotion Timelines

The typical promotion timeline from Associate Consultant to Consultant is within 18-24 months at CyberCX. However, promotions could be realised prior to the 18-month mark if you are performing at a level that warrants a promotion. CyberCX is a pay for performance business, meaning what you put in is what you get out.

Working at CyberCX

CyberCX is proud to offer its employees the opportunity to work under a hybrid workforce model. This means you can work from the office and from your own home, providing the flexibility to achieve professional goals whilst maintaining a balanced life outside of work.

All we ask is that you attend the to be in an office, on-site for at least the first 4 weeks of the program to align with structured learning events, and to help build your professional network, and to work in the office on a periodic basis.
